LSU Tiger Band director, Roy King, received a letter of termination on April 19th following administrative leave and allegations of wrongfully giving scholarships. King worked with the band for almost two decades and considered LSU to be family. According to King’s attorney, a wrongful termination suit against LSU is a possibility. Band administrators have remained silent on the circumstances surrounding King’s dismissal, and according to Tiger Band students, they were told to remain quiet as well.
