– Despite a slow start, the Tigers rallied back behind Hornsby and Simmons to cut the Bulldogs’ lead to a point. Mississippi State answered right back with back-to-back three-pointers to extend its lead to seven points.

– The Tigers started off slow, shooting just 4-for-13 from the field in the first eight minutes. Meanwhile, Mississippi State came out on fire from behind the arc with back-to-back treys before streaking out to as large as a 14-point lead.
