LSU junior running back Leonard Fournette returned to practice on Monday for the first time since re-injuring his ankle in LSU’s 18-13 loss against Auburn on Sept. 24.
Fournette did not play in the Tigers’ last two games against Missouri and Southern Miss. Sophomore running back Derrius Guice has filled in for Fournette since he went down with lingering ankle issues.
Fournette injured his ankle in preseason camp and appeared to aggravate it during a season opening loss to Wisconsin. He was held out of LSU’s home opener against Jacksonville State, but returned to rush for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns against Mississippi State.
In just 3 games this year, Fournette has 67 carries for 386 yards and 2 touchdowns.
