In the past week, LSUPD has made multiple arrests for incidents occurring on campus.
Police arrested three individuals Tuesday on charges of criminal mischief and trespassing.
While on foot patrol in the Graham Hall, Pentagon and Huey P. Long Fieldhouse area, police heard noises inside the fieldhouse, said LSUPD Capt. Ricky Adams.
They found Logan Christopher Kinamore, 18, Brian Roshto, 20, and Josh Broussard, 22, allegedly spray painting graffiti on the pool and walls.
During the arrest, police found a small bag of marijuana on Kinamore and charged him with possession of marijuana in addition to the other charges.
The three individuals were released with a misdemeanor summons on the above charges.
In an unrelated incident, police arrested a University student Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police arrived at Graham Hall because of reports of a burnt marijuana odor. Police determined the smell was from David Paul Bryant’s room, Adams said.
Police searched Bryant’s room and found a marijuana pipe and marijuana. Adams said police seized the items and placed the individual under arrest.
He was released with a misdemeanor summons for simple possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
While on patrol, police arrested an individual Saturday for driving while intoxicated.
Dennis Fink, 20, was seen driving down Campus Lake Drive. Police observed him crossing the center lane and weaving in and out of the lanes. He also allegedly struck the curb twice.
After performing a field sobriety test, police transported Fink to LSUPD for a breathalyzer test.
Police arrested the individual and charged him with a DWI and improper lane usage.
In a separate incident, police arrested three individuals March 19 for disturbing the peace.
Jason Paul Martin, 18, Patrick Martin, 20, and Taylor Sebesta, 19, allegedly entered the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house uninvited.
A Sig Ep member contacted the police when the three people entered the house. The three individuals allegedly began a fight when members tried to escort them out of the house, Adams said.
Police observed the fight break out and arrested the three individuals.
Police also charged Sebesta with simple battery because they allegedly saw him hit someone in the face.
Police released the three individuals with a misdemeanor summons.
After receiving reports for two days, police arrested a non-LSU student March 18 for remaining after being forbidden.
Avi Cooper, 31, allegedly was soliciting women to give him personal information and sign up for beauty salon services, Adams said.
Police informed Cooper soliciting was forbidden unless allowed by the Office of Business Affairs, Adams said.
Police later allegedly found the individual at a sorority house, again soliciting for the beauty salon.
When police arrested Cooper, he allegedly had an abundance of personal information and credit cards and checks.
Police later released the individual with a misdemeanor summons.
