LSUPD arrested an individual Feb. 1 for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Officers stopped Wendy Breeden, 24, of 1477 Rue Crozat for driving 42 mph in a 25 mph zone south on Highland Road, said LSUPD Capt. Mark Shaw.
The officer observed a strong odor and performed a field sobriety test on the individual, which she failed.
The officer brought her to LSUPD for a breathalyzer test. The individual refused the test, Shaw said.
Officers also found marijuana in a small pipe in her purse, Shaw said.
The individual was transported to East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of DWI, speeding, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police also charged Christozer Zane Spillman of 1477 Rue Crozat with interfering with an official investigation. Spillman was a passenger in Breeden’s car and allegedly tried to stop the officer from arresting Breeden. Police later released him.
