The University will induct 10 new members into the Cadets of the Ole War Skule Hall of Honor as part of “LSU Salutes,” an annual celebration to honor University Veterans.
The 9th annual event will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the University War Memorial on the Parade Ground.
Members from the LSU Corps of Cadets and the Cadets of the Ole War Skule will present the new inductees during the pre-game show at the LSU-Louisiana Tech football game scheduled for 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
Hall of Honor inductees are University alumni who have served in the military and are selected based on their involvement with the University.
This year, the Hall of Honor will induct Paul Arst, Baton Rouge; Doyle Chambers, Baton Rouge; Brig. Gen. Louie Reinburg, Baton Rouge; Oscar Ricard, Baton Rouge; Lt. Col. Calvin Robbins, Baton Rouge; Harvey Schwartzberg, Baton Rouge; Lt. Col. Dewell Pittman, Bogalusa; and Lt. Gen. Thomas Rhame, Woodbridge, Va.
In case of rain, the induction will take place in the Union Theater.
