Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone get a little more than they paid for in the suspense thriller “Cold Creek Manor.” Quaid (“The Rookie”) and Stone (“Basic Instinct”) play a husband and wife trying to get their family away from the noise and headaches of New York City.
The family ventures out into the countryside and comes across an old estate known to the locals as Cold Creek Manor.
The family falls in love with the house and immediately move in from the city. Yet there are things about this house, such as the contents left behind, that mystify Quaid. The tale takes a turn for the worst when the previous owner, an ex-con played by Stephen Dorff (“Blade”), comes back to reclaim what was his at any cost.
Director Mike Figgis (“Leaving Las Vegas”) directs a star-studded cast, including Quaid, Stone, Dorff, Juliette Lewis and the legendary Christopher Plummer (“The Sound of Music”).
Cold Creek Manor presents a chilling story peppered with suspense and frightening moments.
Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone prove their days in Hollywood are far from over, and Stephen Dorff gives a ruthless, chilling performance as one of the season’s best bad guys.
