LSU Softball has been dominating their season so far, going 14-0, they seem to have the right heart beat for the team. But things are about to get tough for the Tigers as they prepare to take on UCLA Bruins, which is ranked #4 in the NCAA.
Currently the Tigers have been getting the bat swinging with a total of 343 at bats, 115 runs, 134 hits, 9 home runs and 100 RBIs they are not lacking when they step up to the plate. Which will help the Tigers throughout the game.
But, where they are lacking a bit is in pitching. Now the pitching staff isn’t struggling too much, but they have to warm the bull pin up early if they want to get some strikeouts. With a total of 67 walks, 7 hit by pitches and 33 strikeouts the Tigers need to make a statement in the first inning.
Regardless of stats, the Purple and Gold held their own and defeated the Bruins 2-1 and will go on to face unranked Cal State Fullerton at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
