LSU football icon Joe Burrow is set to feature in season two of Netflix’s docuseries “Quarterback.”
The docuseries, produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions, will be released on Netflix in July.
The show “will give viewers exclusive access to three quarterbacks throughout the 2024-25 season, both on and off the field. The show will feature behind-the-scenes content of some of the most significant moments of this past season as Burrow orchestrated one of the most prolific passing offenses in league history.”
The Bengals’ signal caller will join Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins on the show this season.
Two years ago, for season one of the series, Netflix followed Cousins, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and former Falcon quarterback Marcus Mariota.
The show will follow Burrow throughout last season, where he posted MVP-caliber numbers, setting career highs in completions, completion percentage, passing yards and touchdowns.
Burrow threw for the most passing yards and touchdowns in the league, finishing the season with the third-best passer rating and fourth-highest completion percentage.
Burrow’s main target last year was former Tigers teammate Ja’Marr Chase. They connected 127 times for 1,708 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season.
Despite his stats proving him worthy, Burrow ultimately fell short of being named the MVP. The Bengals also missed the playoffs despite having the top passing offense in the NFL.
