LSU Softball players Danieca Coffey and Jalia Lassiter spoke to the media ahead of their matchup versus Louisiana Tech. 

Junior Jalia Lassiter is having the best season of her career with a .344 batting average and a .884 OPS. The transfer comes from Ole Miss and as of late, she has been doing great on offense. 

“She’s starting to like let everyone see who she truly is, like the competitor inside her,” Coffey said. 

Recently, it’s been Jalia standing out, but for the season everyone has been stepping in crucial moments to help the team win. 

“I think everybody’s finding their role and really leaning into their role,” Lassiter said. “It takes all 26 of us to get where we want to, and that’s to win the SEC and get to the World Series and win that.” 

Next up the Tigers will face Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, April 9 at 6 p.m. CT inside Tiger Park.
