Aneesah Morrow has been selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft to the Connecticut Sun.
Morrow finished her senior season at LSU averaging 18.7 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game. She led the country in rebounds per game by almost a rebound.
Morrow made the transfer to LSU from DePaul for the 2024 season, and her career became one for the history books.
The 6-foot-1 forward from Chicago, Illinois, became just the second player in women’s NCAA Division I history to surpass 100 career double-doubles. While at LSU, she recorded 52 double-doubles, which is the third most in program history.
Morrow finished her collegiate career with 2,852 total points, which is the 25th most points in DI history, along with 1,714 rebounds, which ranks third in DI history.
She is one of eight players in DI history to reach 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds.
Her illustrious career was capped off by becoming the first player in program history to win the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Katrina McClain Award, an award given to the nation’s best power forward.
