LSU Baseball defeated Alabama 11-6 on Thursday night in a comeback win. Coach Johnson’s team turned up the heat in the sixth inning and scored 10 unanswered runs.
In what looked to be an underwhelming loss, the Tigers stayed positive and turned the tide of the game with timely hits.
“That was kind of the message going into the weekend, like being positive and opportunistic about this opportunity this weekend,” Coach Johnson said.
Pitcher Casan Evans came in for relief and a crucial moment and owned the two innings that he was in for.
“I think when he’s in the game, our team really believes we’re going to match up better than whoever’s on the other side,” Coach Johnson said.
Coach Johnson and his squad face off against Alabama in the second game of a three game series on Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m. CT inside Alex Box Stadium.
