LSU Softball Head Coach Beth Torina spoke to the media following a 4-3 loss in game one of regional play against Southeastern.
The tigers had a devastating loss against the lions blowing a 3-0 lead.
Torina felt her staff did a great job preparing for the game. She implied that LSU did not lose because of ill preparations.
Instead, they lost because, “the chips don’t always fall your way,” Torina said.
LSU lacked the energy and aggression that Southeastern brought to Tiger Park. They were unable to keep up with Southeastern’s fast tempo.
“Good thing is we have outs left,” Torina said.
LSU is not out of the race quite yet. They play the University of Connecticut Saturday at 2:30 P.M., and Torina said they will be ready.
Later in the press conference Torina mentioned that the way to the top will be more difficult, but not impossible.
