LSU Baseball is set to face off SEC rival Arkansas Saturday at 6 P.M. for their first game in Omaha.
Ace Pitcher Kade Anderson is expected to start. He is a vital piece of the puzzle for the Fighting Tiger Defense, and even though he only has one year under his belt he is extremely reliable.
“He had a very good freshman season last year,’ Johnson said, ‘I think his growth has been physical and experience.”
During the regular season in early May, Anderson pitched against the Razorbacks. He finished the night with a 3.66 ERA, and 10 strikeouts. This is round four of LSU vs. Arkansas, and LSU have won 2-3 of the games.
Arkansas’ biggest threat, Ace pitcher Zach Root is a player Head Coach Jay Johnson really wanted and recruited hard for.
“It’s hard to think about, we recruited him hard and didn’t get him,’ Johnson said, ‘runs will not come easy in the game against him.”
“He is a really good pitcher…he throws balls really close,” Chris Stanfield said.
