The Rutgers Board of Governors approved the hiring of two former LSU administrators Monday who will now join former LSU President William Tate IV at the university, the Louisiana Illuminator said.
The Board met virtually to vote on the two proposed hires Monday morning, according to the meeting agenda.
Vice President and Chief Data Officer and Dean of the Pinkie Gordon Lane Graduate School Keena Arbuthnot and former Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Kimberly Lewis will both take new positions at Rutgers.
Arbuthnot will be the executive vice president for academic affairs and chief academic officer, while Lewis will be executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Lewis resigned from the university in February, one of several top-level administrators who did so, including former General Counsel Winston DeCuir and former Provost Roy Hagggerty.
The most high-profile departure from the university, of course, was Tate in June. Tate left for the same position at Rutgers and has begun filling out his executive staff with familiar faces.
He also appointed Keli Zinn as Rutgers’ athletic director. Zinn was formerly the executive deputy athletic director at LSU.

LSU selected Vice President of Agriculture and Dean of the College of Agriculture Matt Lee as the interim president.
Lee and the university have appointed interims in Lewis and Haggerty’s positions, as well, and Lee told the Reveille that no permanent hires will be made there until a new president is chosen.
A permanent hire has been made to replace Zinn, with former Ohio Athletic Director Julie Cromer taking over.
The presidential search committee, which will choose the new president, will meet for the first time on Aug. 19. LSU Board of Supervisors Chairman Scott Ballard estimated the process would take six months.
