On Thursday, head coach Brian Kelly provided updates on two major injuries for LSU football.
During last week’s game against Louisiana Tech, center Braelin Moore suffered a high ankle sprain, and tight end Trey’Dez Green sprained his MCL.
After Thursday’s press conference, it was confirmed that Moore will be ready to go against Florida on Friday, and Green will be a game-time decision.
Having Moore is huge news, as he’s coming from arguably the most important position on the offensive line. Kelly has discussed how important Moore is to the team, and for a big-time game against the Gators, it’s a much-needed return.
As for Green, an MCL sprain is far less serious than what many expected, and if he can go, the Tigers are bringing a massive target who is irreplaceable.
If Green can’t go on Saturday, the Tigers will turn to Bauer Sharp, a big body tight end that LSU recruited from the transfer portal from Texas A&M, who has already been rotating with Green and Donovan Green.
“Trey’Dez was out on the field today catching balls, moving around,” Kelly said. “He’s going to be probably a game-time decision; he’s not where we need him to be today, but we still have some time.”
