LSU football landed a commitment from the class of 2027 in four-star quarterback Peyton Houston on Monday morning.
Houston is a product of Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana, who stands at 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 200 pounds.
He is ranked as the No. 11 quarterback in the country and No. 6 player in Louisiana for the 2027 recruiting cycle, according to 247 Composite rankings.
Houston chose the Tigers over other programs such as Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and Southern California. He is also LSU’s first commitment of the 2027 cycle.
In his sophomore campaign last season, Houston posted a Louisiana Class 5A record of 4,480 passing yards, which led the state. During his historic season, he broke the Louisiana high school football single-game passing yards record, throwing for 817 yards
Houston’s commitment comes on the heels of another Saturday night in Death Valley, where LSU defeated Florida 20-10.
