LSU Women’s Basketball kicked off the 2025-2026 season with its first of two exhibition games against the Choctaws of Mississippi College.
The Lady Tigers were led by standout performances from newcomers ZaKiyah Johnson, MiLaysia Fulwiley, and returner Mikaylah Williams.
Fulwiley’s debut drew particular attention, as the highly anticipated transfer from currently No. 2 ranked South Carolina, showcased the skillset that made her one of the leading guards in the nation.
This year’s LSU roster features a plethora of newcomers, many of whom come from championship winning programs and bring a diverse range of talent to the court.
“They know how to win, and because of that, they’re very confident,” said Mulkey on the Freshman class in particular. She noted how the group’s prior experience competing at the high level before arriving in Baton Rouge has helped ease their transition.
The Lady Tigers will play their second and final game in their exhibition series, against the Langston Lions. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. CT in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
