Due to the government shutdown slowing access to supplemental nutrition assistance programs , millions of Americans are left struggling to put food on the table.
Chicken Salad Chicks says the decision to provide food assistance in these times is not political.
“We simply believe no child should go hungry,” said General Manager Mya Fox.
The company says this is a no questions asked, no purchase needed policy.Guest can dine in and receive up to five kids meals per day.
The franchise has over 300 locations and all locations in Louisiana will be participating with locations outside of the region participating in food assistance in various ways.
Chicken salad chicks say this offer will be available until snap benefits are given back to families.
