LSU guards Max Mckinnon and Dedan Thomas Jr. spoke to the media after the 99-73 win against the Omaha Mavericks.
Thomas looked like a true point guard on the floor tonight. He finished with 10 assists and 0 turnovers. “These guys make it easy for me. Max Mackinnon hit six three pointers, PJ Carter hit three straight three pointers when he came in towards the end of the first half,” said Thomas about his teammates.
It was clear that LSU’s team chemistry has improved dramatically since the first game of the season. “I think we just gel more together. We’ve had more live reps and we’re more connected. We’re a brotherhood both on and off the court,” said Mckinnon.
The Tigers look to extend their winning streak to 6 games as they will face the Drake Bulldogs on November 28th.
