The LSU Men’s Tennis team defeated Tulane 7-0 on Tuesday at the LSU Tennis Complex. tHis win means that the undefeated Tigers are now 7-0.
Starting with singles, LSU went undefeated in every singles match going 6-0, and in fact they never even lost a set.
To highlight the most dominant performance, Matias Ponce de Leon won both of his matches 6-2 and 6-1, and Olaf Pieczkowski won both of his matches 6-4 and 6-1.
The only match Tulane won at all was a doubles match where Daniel Phillips and Lance Nisbet defeated Sasa Markovic and Andrej Loncarevic 6-4.
However, LSU still won overall in doubles which came from Pieczkowski and Enzo Kohlmann winning 6-1, and Ponce de Leon and Rudy Ceccon won 6-4.
LSU’s next matchup will be at the ITA Indoor Championships in Waco, Texas on February 13th with the time to still be announced.
