LSU Women’s Basketball held its SEC Tournament send-off in the PMAC, where fans gathered to cheer the Tigers on before they head to Greenville, South Carolina.
The Tigers play-by-play commentators Patrick Wright and Shaeeta Williams led the ceremony, which featured interviews with players and fans could choose who they wanted to hear from.
“I like winning, and I felt like we already dealt with our losses early in the season,” MiLaysia Fulwiley said. “We got to go out there and just play together and just all be on the same page, which is win game by game, day by day.”
This is the program’s fifth straight SEC Tournament send-off under head coach Kim Mulkey as LSU enters the bracket as the No. 4 seed.
“I’m excited to go to Greenville,” Flau’jae Johnson said. “I always have a lot of fun there.”
The Tigers will play in the tournament on Friday at 1:30 p.m CT against the winner of the Oklahoma and Florida/Mississippi State game.
They are aiming to make a deep postseason run as March Madness approaches.
