With the rise of traffic on Burbank Drive comes new installations. That being a traffic light.
The constant flow of cars, it makes it incredibly difficult to navigate the intersection, especially for the residents of Pelican Lakes.
With it not only taking an increased amount of time to get out of the neighborhood due to constant traffic, but the risk of accidents. Having to cross many lanes to take a left, it leaves people at risk, and with the rise of accidents, it was time for a change.
The $300,000 project is planned to be finished at the end of April, leaving residents with a faster commute and more safety.
Resident, Shailee Schullin, always had problems with getting out of the neighborhood, with her stating, “Usually I have to leave a little earlier to go to class or whatever cause I have to take a right and do a U-turn instead of just taking a left outside of Pelican Lakes.”
Residents like Schullin will hopefully have more peace of mind and a faster commute.
