Former star pitchers for LSU, Anthony Eyanson and Kade Anderson are dominating their first year of pro-ball.
Eyanson, a third-round draft pick to the Boston Red Sox, has been named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the month after putting up a .54 ERA for Boston’s high-A affiliate, the Greenville Drive.
The 21-year-old right hander struck 27 batters out while only allowing one earned run, leading to his promotion to the Double-A affiliate, Portland Seadogs.
Last season’s ace for LSU, and pivotal part of the national championship rotation, Kade Anderson also had a stellar month, posting a .37 ERA in April with the Seattle Mariners Double-A affiliate, the Arkansas Travelers. The 3rd overall pick in the 2025 MLB draft has been dominating hitters at a level that most pitchers struggle to break into.
The twin aces for LSU carried the Tigers to the national championship as Anderson pitched a complete game shutout in game one of the College World Series finals against Coastal Carolina. Eyanson started game two and earned the win after nearly going seven innings against the Chanticleers.
Both aces have bright futures ahead with both Boston and Seattle respectively. With Eyanson’s promotion to double-a, it’s only right to expect seeing these two Tiger legends in the Majors in the near future.
