LSU Police Department is currently investigating an attempted abduction that occurred on campus Thursday night.
A female victim reported to LSUPD investigators that a male suspect attempted to abduct her from the Patrick F. Taylor Hall around 8 p.m., said LSUPD spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde.
The victim claims that the suspect exited a parked van and grabbed her arm. The victim was able to pull away from the suspect, who ultimately climbed back into the van and fled the scene, Lalonde said.
The suspect was described as a black male with no facial hair, a receding hairline and cuts in his eyebrows.
The suspect’s van, a black, box-shaped van with tinted windows and side double doors, was last seen travelling westbound on Nicholson extension towards Nicholson Drive, Lalonde said.
Lalonde urges anyone who may have information related to this incident should contact LSU Police immediately at (225) 578-3231.
