Monday night, The LGBT organization Spectrum responded to the controversy surrounding the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity House.
“Delta Kappa Epsilon’s game day banner on Saturday created a highly visible unwelcoming environment for LSU’s LGBT students…”
Spectrum points out that the disrespectful signs are a pattern which neglect LSU’s goals of diversity.
In their statement Spectrum said “..LSU looks to attract and retain a bright, diverse, and unique student body. To that end, LSU must keep its strong commitment to broadening the cultural diversity of the LSU community…”
Similar signs were displayed in front of the house when LSU played colleges like Kent State and Florida.
