While many students have been taken by surprise from the weather, it hasn’t stopped them from having their fun.  Several students stated they’ve been enjoying these past couple of days off from school, while some even had the opportunity to play in the snow.  “I’m from the south so I never get to experience this type of weather”, was a common quote heard by students.  
Precautions have been taken for the students living on campus who have to walk to common areas.  The ice from the ground can be very dangerous for students because it can cause them to slip or fall, so LSU has taken the precaution of putting sand on the ground to prevent things like that from happening.
