LSU is about two months away from Early Signing Period, where players will start to put pen to paper, fully committing to their future schools. The Tigers have recently been adding players to their 2024 class, and watching others commit to different programs.
LSU currently hold the No. 9 ranked recruiting class, according to 247sports. It holds 26 commitments, with 15 of those being from Louisiana.
Here’s what LSU’s 2024 recruiting class looks like thus far:
Dashawn McBryde
LSU’s highest-ranked commitment in the class of 2024, according to 247sports. McBryde plays at Denham Springs High School in Denham Springs, Louisiana, which is about 20 minutes from Baton Rouge. Since LSU’s offer in March, it seemed pretty clear he’d commit to the Tigers. McBryde made that decision about a month later.
Trey’Dez Green
Green could arguably have the most upside in LSU’s class of 2024. The 6-foot-7, 239-pound tight end from Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana, committed to LSU for football and basketball. He committed to the Tigers in April over Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M and more. He would need to put on weight for football, but that would be a challenge for basketball.
Jelani Watkins
Watkins is a speedy slot receiver that could see playing time as a true freshman. In March, he ran a 10.33 100-meter dash. He committed to LSU in early August, choosing the Tigers over Texas A&M, Texas, Arkansas and more. Watkins was also a valuable land because he plays at Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, which is about an hour and a half from Texas A&M.
Weston Davis
LSU flipped Davis from Texas A&M on Thursday night. According to On3.com, Davis is a five-star player. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle from Beaumont United High School in Beaumont, Texas, committed to the Aggies in June. Rumors of him flipping to the Tigers started to loom this fall, and on Thursday, it became official.
Cai Bates
Bates committed to LSU in late July, but rumors are starting to swirl around about him flipping to another school. While the program he’d flip to isn’t clear, Bates is still on watch, regardless. Bates chose LSU over Alabama, Florida State and Tennessee. The four-star cornerback from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, took official visits to all four schools.
Kylan Billiot
Billiot rose on the scene this summer after an impressive performance at an LSU camp in June. The Tigers were quick to offer, and he was quick to commit. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver committed in mid-June over Memphis, Troy and a few other programs. Billiot plays at Terrebonne High School in Houma, Louisiana.
Tylen Singleton
Singleton is a 6-foot-1, 208-pound linebacker from Many High School in Many, Louisiana. Singleton is as mobile of a linebacker as they come, and that could potentially get him on the field early. He committed to LSU in late July over Texas A&M, Arkansas and more.
Caden Durham
Durham could arguably have the most hype and the biggest platform out of anyone in LSU’s 2024 class. The 5-foot-9, 195-pound running back plays at powerhouse Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas, and similar to Watkins, has a track background, clocking in at 10.2 seconds for the 100-meter dash. He chose the Tigers over Texas A&M, Oklahoma and more.
Michael Turner
Similar to Billiot, LSU extended an offer to Turner after a stellar camp performance this summer. At camp, he ran a 4.29 40-yard dash; this speed was a big motivation behind the offer. Turner is a 6-foot-1, 150-pound athlete from John Curtis High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and he’s projected to be a wide receiver at the next level.
Ju’Juan Johnson
Johnson could arguably be LSU’s best overall athlete in its 2024 class. Despite playing at Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana, his commitment to LSU wasn’t guaranteed. He committed to Colorado in February shortly after the hiring of Deion Sanders, but he decommitted from the Buffaloes in late April and committed to LSU a month later. Johnson is a 5-foot-11, 188-pound cornerback who also plays quarterback at Lafayette Christian Academy.
Kolaj Cobbins
Cobbins plays a very similar game to Harold Perkins; he has the ability to come off the edge and play linebacker. He committed to LSU in March over Michigan, Oregon, Texas and more. Cobbins is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound linebacker from Destrehan High School in Destrehan, Louisiana.
Joel Rogers
Rogers has also displayed great athleticism in high school. The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete plays at West Feliciana High School in St. Francisville, Louisiana. He’s projected to play safety at LSU, but he also plays quarterback at West Feliciana. He chose the Tigers over Alabama, Florida State and more.
Colin Hurley
Similar to Durham, Hurley’s commitment to LSU’s 2024 class had a lot of hype surrounding it. Hurley was formerly part of the class of 2025 but reclassified to the class of 2024. This being said, the 6-foot, 213-pound quarterback’s age may be a factor when he arrives in Baton Rouge. He chose the Tigers over Alabama, Florida, Georgia and more.
Davhon Keys
Keys has had an impressive senior season at Aledo High School in Aledo, Texas, this season. That momentum could translate to the college level. Keys is a 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker, and he chose LSU over Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and more. He committed to LSU in mid-March.
CJ Jackson
Jackson flipped to LSU in mid-October from Georgia Tech, where he was committed since mid-June. He decommitted from the Yellow Jackets in early October after an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge for the Auburn game where he committed on the spot. Jackson also held offers from Alabama, Clemson and more.
Xavier Atkins
Atkins first committed to LSU in July 2022, but as time went on, rumors of him decommitting became stronger. He decommitted from the Tigers in July 2023, and since then, it was expected he’d commit to Texas A&M. However, he recommitted to LSU in mid-September, and has since shut his recruitment down.
Khayree Lee
Lee was also one of LSU’s earlier commitments, as he’s been committed to the Tigers since November 2022. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive tackle was offered from LSU in late October 2022 and committed shortly after. He chose the Tigers over Ole Miss, Tennessee, Mississippi State and more. Lee plays at John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana.
Ethan Calloway
Calloway was one of LSU’s bigger out-of-state commitments for its 2024 class. The 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle chose the Tigers over Florida, Georgia, Penn State and more. He plays at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, North Carolina.
PJ Woodland
Woodland flipped to LSU from Mississippi State on October 22. He committed to Mississippi State in June but decommitted a week before flipping to LSU. Woodland is a 6-foot, 165-pound cornerback from Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
De’Myrion Johnson
Johnson committed to LSU in late May. The 6-foot-2, 275-pound defensive lineman from Westgate High School in New Iberia, Louisiana, chose the Tigers over Alabama, Oklahoma State and more. The only concern with Johnson is that he may be undersized at the college level.
Ahmad Breaux
Breaux was formerly committed to Duke before committing to LSU. He committed to Duke in late January then decommitted after LSU offered in March. The day after, Breaux committed to the Tigers. He also held offers from Stanford, Ole Miss, Missouri and more.
Ory Williams
Williams committed to LSU in late July. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive tackle from San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Texas committed to the Tigers over Oklahoma State, Florida and Texas A&M. He took official visits to all four schools.
Wallace Foster
Foster was one of LSU’s first commitments to the class of 2024, and he’s one of the only early commits remaining in the class. He committed to the Tigers in November 2022 over Texas, Texas A&M, Florida and more. Foster plays at Warren Easton High School in New Orleans.
Bernard Causey
Causey is one of the faster players in LSU’s Class of 2024. He was formerly committed to Ole Miss, giving his word in late June. LSU offered Causey in late September, and he flipped his commitment to LSU almost a month later. He plays at John F. Kennedy High School in New Orleans.
Joseph Cryer
Similar to Causey, Cryer was committed to Ole Miss in June. He decommitted from Ole Miss four days after receiving an offer from LSU in late July. He committed to LSU just a day later. Cryer plays at Natchitoches High School in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Aeron Burrell
Burrell is the No. 1 ranked kicker in the country according to 247sports. He plays at Parkway High School in Bossier City, Louisiana. He committed to LSU in April over Houston, TCU and others.
