A change of scenery for the opening of the finale, Archer begins right where it left off last week, with the submarine inside of Dr. Kolfacs’s foot. All thanks to Krieger’s mishaps.
The gang slowly realizes they’re not in the brain, as no one has actually told them where they are yet.
As usual, Archer is pouring himself a drink, explaining that he’s making Tang by concocting a mixture of rubbing alcohol and “fruity drink powder.”
Slater is paging mission control but so far there’s no response.
The pressure weighs on everyone in the submarine as it’s their final mission to save their careers as CIA agents.
Finally, the gang receives a response from mission control about their location. At first, the audio cuts out and it sounds like they’re in Krieger’s asshole, but after having mission control repeat itself they find out they’re in the left foot of the doctor.
Meanwhile Malory and Agent Hawley are overlooking the operating room and trying to figure out why the ship isn’t moving and caring for AJ.
When AJ starts crying, Hawley asks if she needs to be fed, and Malory continues her rant about the baby’s weight. She says maybe just once since she’s close to popping out of her onesie.
Even Hawley mentions that AJ seems to be a normal weight, but Malory obviously has no sympathy for her infant granddaughter.
Back in the submarine, Dr. Sklodowska, Slater, Lana and Archer discuss how their situation, Cyril and Ray have kept the ship idle after not knowing what everyone else wants to do, and Pam and Cheryl are knitting.
Archer suggests the cut the Kolfacs’s foot with a laser and slide out, but is ignored because his logic is never sound.
Dr. Sklodowska comes up with the idea to enter the bloodstream by cutting open a vein with the laser. Because it only takes blood one minute to circulate through the body, this would allow them to make it to Kolfacs’s tear duct before the miniaturization process was reversed.
As they’re preparing for the impending force they’ll feel the moment they enter the bloodstream, Cheryl decides that maybe putting her knitting needles away would be a safe thing to do.
Cyril turns to Ray and says he should probably apologize to Lana for being so racists about his hand and brings up the “Driving Miss Daisy” reference as well as countless others he’s made since receiving the hand.
As soon as the submarine enters the bloodstream, Ray is thrown to the back of the ship for failing to wear his seatbelt.
This puts Cyril in charge of steering with Sklodowska directing him.
Malory and Hawley are still unaware of the submarine’s location, so they’ve taken to waiting on the gang to give them an update because the submarine is too small to track with current technology.
Back on the submarine, Cheryl and Pam pick Ray up and bring him to a nearby bench while he complains that he’s crippled yet again.
Lana tells Archer she’s going to leave to check on Ray, and is surprised that Archer has no zing for her to relay over to him about him getting hurt again. He mentions that he’s concerned Ray is going to kill himself one day because of his terrible luck.
At this point, Slater realizes they’re almost out of oxygen because the screen is showing there are nine people on board instead of eight. It turns out TV’s Michael Gray tagged along and is locked in a cabinet.
Just as they’re making smooth progress, leukocytes begin attacking the submarine, and the gang has to decide who’s going out into the bloodstream with the portable laser to kill them off.
Archer obviously can’t pass this opportunity up, and Michael Gray offers to go alongside him, however, Pam is chosen to go with him.
Once out in the bloodstream, Archer unsurprisingly has way too much fun shooting the leukocytes.
After accomplishing that feat, he and Pam make it back inside the submarine safely, but accidentally hit the purging button on the airlock, which takes up too much time and leaves them with only two minutes until extraction.
Now they’re down to 30 seconds and the doctors in the operating room are feverishly putting drops in Kolfacs’s eye.
They extract the submarine successfully on a q-tip and begin running to the room they were miniaturized in so that the process can reverse—only they’re not successful.
The submarine returns to normal size, killing Dr. Kolfacs and all of the operating doctors.
It’s a bloody, intense scene that Malory and Hawley watch in horror. Hawley then informs Malory that the two positive outcomes of this situation are that one, she and the gang will no longer work for the CIA, and two, the miniaturization process created by the doctor lives on in the backup supercomputer.
Just as Hawley says this, Krieger shows up with a wrench and begins bashing the supercomputer.
“Shrinky dink that! Krieger out!” he says after he’s finished.
The next scene features the gang looking incredibly rough in the middle of a desert.
Malory asks Archer what they’re going to do for money now, and without hesitating he puts on his aviators and says he has an idea about that.
So with the end of a successful sixth season, we will more than likely get to see “Vice” return for season 7.
