Taylor Ward said that when she walked into Reggie’s she didn’t realize that the stamp said a racial slur until later.
She approached a manager and asked if he realized what it said and if it was a misspelling of the bar’s name. The manager replied saying, “It’s just a stamp.”
She left shortly after with her friends and says that she won’t go back to Reggie’s

A manager at Reggie’s, who refused to give his name, says that the stamp comes from when people use to to say that they were going “Reggin” when they went out to Reggie’s.
He explains that they have used the Reggin stamp once a week for 10 years, and that the racial aspect of the stamp was unintentional.
When asked if he would change the stamp, he says that he hasn’t changed anything for 15 years and is not going to change it now.
We reached out to the woman who posted the picture, her name is Taylor Ward.

Thursday night, Twitter user @filthyrichtay_ posted a tweet claiming she received an entry stamp at Reggie’s that read “Reggin” which, upside down, appears to be a racial slur.
@filthyrichtay_ tweeted, “Last night was my first time going to Tigerland & @ReggiesBR had the audacity to stamp this bullshit on our hands,” with a picture of the stamp.
A door guy at Reggie’s, who wished to remain anonymous, explains that they stamp people every night and that the stamps are different every night.
We reached out Reggie’s and @filthyrichtay_ for comment, but have not been able to get in touch with either party.
We will continue to reach out to both sides to confirm the validity of the stamp and the picture.
We will update the story as it develops.
