Heavy Thunderstorms, Rain, and Flooding swept into the Baton Rouge Metro area Saturday night as a low pressure system moved through Texas into Louisiana.
Rainfall has been measured at 3 inches across Baton Rouge with some locations reaching up to 5 inches.
Livingston Parish saw the touchdown of a possible tornado, no one was injured, but several homes were severely damaged.
Nearly 900 residents across South Louisiana were without power, according to Energy Power and Electric.
Officials announced that the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair would close Sunday, the second weekend that the fair has shut down operations.
Light rains are expected to continue into Sunday with the possibility for flash floods and road closures.
