In response to Brian Anderson’s column, “Cronies for Kony.”
I thought your article was far too generalized when referring to “hipsters” as the ones to blame for leading this cause. It doesn’t appear you even understand what the term hipster means, because your information is inaccurate and not backed up at all.
Which hipsters are you referring to? From what I have seen, all kinds of people from all different stereotypes post videos in support of IC, the least of these being what I would consider “hipster.” I think your generalization of these people discredits you as a writer, as you have displayed your obvious bias in a completely unnecessary and irrelevant way.
Your column would have been just as effective and informative if you had left that whole spiel out of your discourse. I agreed with your information regarding the Kony situation and think it is a much-needed message, I was just disappointed with your provocative comments that had no backing. I hope you take this constructive criticism well.
