Clock bells rang Friday evening as Student Government President Colorado Robertson and Vice President Shannon Bates were inaugurated on the Memorial Tower steps.
Outgoing University Court Chief Justice Mark Hill administered the Oath of Office as the student leaders placed their left hands on the SG Constitution.
Acting Chancellor William Jenkins addressed the small crowd of family, friends and students about how leadership is of paramount importance during this critical time at the University.
“We are at that point of transition where Colorado comes in with this running mate Shannon to take the reigns of leadership,” Jenkins said.
