A 31-year-old non-student carrying a sword was arrested after being reported to LSUPD on two separate occasions Thursday.
According to a University spokesperson, the first incident occurred at the PMAC around 7:30 a.m when LSUPD responded to a report of a suspicious male.
After searching the area, LSUPD officers were then told the man left campus with someone else, according to the spokesperson.
Just a few hours later, around 12:30 p.m., LSUPD responded to a suspicious male on a Tiger Trails bus near Nicholson Drive Extension at CEBA Lane.
The man was reportedly talking with a number of people in a strange manner, a University spokesperson said. He was also reported to be carrying a weapon inside a bag.
LSUPD arrived and made contact with Ronald Chenevert Jr. of Baton Rouge. Chenevert matched the description of the man from the previous report and was found to possess a sword in his bag.
Chenevert was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of terrorizing, criminal trespassing and illegal carrying of a weapon.
