The opening game of the annual Purple & Gold Challenge is postponed due to rain.
The LSU softball team was scheduled to play Georgia Southern University at 6 p.m., but the game will now be played Sunday at 12 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule will remain the same with the Tigers playing GSU at 2:30 p.m. and Central Arkansas at 5 p.m. GSU and CAU will face-off at 12:00 p.m.
Three games in total will also be played on Sunday, with GSU and CAU starting the tournament at 9:30 a.m. and LSU closing the tournament out against CAU.
LSU is currently on a four game win streak coming off of junior pitcher Carley Hoover’s no-hitter, the first since 2013, in last Wednesday’s win against Louisiana Tech.
