It’s been 55 days since LSU last left the PMAC victorious. On Saturday, once again, they came up short.
“They changed their defense, they turned the ball over and we had 10 turnovers in the second half,” Antonio Blakeney said. “So, we gave them easy opportunities.
LSU left the court after the first half with a 40-31 lead, but let the Razorbacks take over in the second half.
“Thats out problem. We didn’t do it for the whole 40 minutes,” Blakeney said.
Head Coach Johnny Jones thinks the second half decline was because the team became content and comfortable with their early lead.
“You’ve got to come out and have more of an edge. We played good you got to be great in the second half,” Jones said.
As for Arkansas, they say their poise is what kept them in the game.
“If their a word to describe today is they maintained their poise. They didn’t get discouraged,” Arkansas Head Coach Mike Anderson said.
While going through an eleven game losing streak, it does not look like things will be turning around for the Tigers anything soon.
