The University will provide eclipse glasses to students, faculty and staff with a Tiger Card as part of its “Solar Eclipse at the Start” event Monday at noon on the parade ground.
As part of the event, the University will also show NASA’s livestream of the eclipse, including footage captured by the LSU Space Grant team.
The last time the U.S. had an eclipse where the path of totality went coast to coast was in 1918. Another total eclipse will be visible from Louisiana in 2024.
