LSU defeated Nicholls State 10-1 Tuesday night, despite rain delays.
LSU’s offense outplayed the Colonels, scoring four unanswered runs in the first four innings. The Tigers only allowed the Colonels one run, which came in the fifth.
Zach Watson hit a home run in the third inning which Austin Bain followed with one of his own. Hunter Feduccia contributed several big plays including a potential grand slam turned sacrifice fly during the fifth.
“Feduccia let it rip tonight…he would’ve had a really big night if that kid didn’t make a tremendous catch with the bases loaded,” said Coach Mainieri.
The Tigers will face Texas A&M next as they travel to College Station on Thursday.
