Bakery-cafe chain Panera Bread is set to open at the University’s Patrick F. Taylor Hall in summer 2018, the University announced on Thursday.
Assistant Vice President of LSU Auxiliary Services Margot Carroll said Panera provides a “great opportunity” for students to access healthier options.
“We worked closely with the community of the College of Engineering to gain an understanding of the needs and expectations of their students and we are excited to welcome Panera Bread,” Carroll said.
The announcement said Panera Bread is “committed to providing great tasting, quality food people can trust” and is known for fresh baked breads, and all-natural ingredients.
The newly renovated Patrick F. Taylor Hall and Chemical Engineering Building will have an official, grand-opening ceremony on Friday, April 20 at 10:30 a.m.
