Freshman baseball player Daniel Cabrera had the opportunity to play in the MLB this season. Instead, he decided to pursue a collegiate career at LSU.
Cabrera is a dual-threat as he excels in the outfield and on the mound.
“He’s got a great athletic body,” Mainieri said. “He’s strong for a freshman, he runs pretty good, and throws well from the outfield.”
According to Mainieri, Cabrera joins the ranks of elite LSU baseball players to be ready to play as a freshman.
Cabrera will start the season at left field against Notre Dame on Friday, February 16 at 7 p.m. in The Box.
