Grade: A
“Kaputt” is an album that would easily fly under most people’s radar, but Canadian indie-rock artist Destroyer has made something truly spectacular. Songs like “Blue Eyes” and “Kaputt” truly stand out with a soft, foot-tapping drumbeat, but the other songs, such as “Poor In Love,” are only a hair less memorable. This is, without a doubt, the mellowest album to come out in some time. Overall, it is a perfect CD for walking to class, riding a bike or just sitting outside and relaxing.
