An experienced LSU football team will officially start its quest for a national title when spring practice begins on March 7, the program announced Wednesday morning in a news release.
The program also announced the National L Club Spring Game will be held on April 16 at 3 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. According to the release, television and radio broadcast information will be announced at another time.
The Tigers will hold 15 spring practice sessions, per NCAA rules, with formal practices and closed scrimmages mixed in. The start of spring practices last year also happened to be on March 7, but the 2015 spring game was played on April 18. LSU’s pro timing day will be held a week after the start of spring practice –Monday, March 14.
The Tigers will have five early enrollees participating in their first spring practices, including cornerback Saivion Smith, linebacker Michael Divinity, wide receiver Stephen Sullivan, running back Devin White and wide receiver Dee Anderson.
