Discounted Saints tickets for students will go on sale Monday for as little as $13 a piece.
The online presale to attend the four Saints games scheduled to be played in Tiger Stadium begins today at 10 a.m. for regular priced tickets.
Ticket prices range from $15 to $89 – LSU students get a $2 discount – based on where the seats are located.
Tickets can also be purchased as a four-game pack at a reduced rate. The cheapest ticket packs in the upper east deck cost $40 – $10 a ticket. According to the Ticketmaster Web site, tickets for Saints’ games played in the Superdome range from $35 to $140.
The games on Oct. 30 and Nov. 6 against the Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears will kick off at 3:05 p.m. The games on Dec. 4. and Dec. 18 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers will start at noon.
Seating will be in the lower bowl of the stadium and in the upper east deck.
The maximum capacity for Saints games in Tiger Stadium will be 79,000 because the west deck will be closed.
Jake Schneider, manager of regional sales and marketing for the Saints, said student tickets will not be available for purchase online today, just regular-priced individual tickets and the four-ticket packs.
Tickets will be available Monday via phone, in person or online at Ticketmaster locations or the Saints’ Baton Rouge office.
Schneider said to receive a student discount, one must present a student ID at any Ticketmaster location. There is a Ticketmaster location in the Union in the Union Theater box office.
Schneider said next week the Saints plan to set up an office on campus in addition to the Ticketmaster office to sell student tickets.
According to the Saints Web site, some proceeds from the tickets sold in Tiger Stadium will go to the Saints Hurricane Relief Fund. The fund will be used to aid residents of New Orleans and the rest of the Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Katrina.
