LSU’s Aneesah Morrow was named SEC Player of the Week after two dominating performances in key conference victories against No. 16 Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Morrow hit multiple career milestones and helped continue the unbeaten streak for the Tigers this week.
Morrow surpassed the 2,500 career points and 1,500 career rebounds mark this week. She became the eighth player of all time to reach 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds.
In this week’s games, she averaged 39 minutes, 23 points and 18 rebounds per game. In the ranked matchup vs No. 16 Tennessee, Morrow tallied 23 points and 21 rebounds and her 90th career double-double, tying her for the third most in NCAA DI history.
In the return home game against Vanderbilt, Morrow played the entire 40 minutes and recorded 23 points and 15 rebounds. This marks her ninth consecutive and 17th total double-double this season.
Morrow looks to record her 91st double-double to tie Oregon’s Jillian Alleyne for the second most career double-doubles on Sunday against the Florida Gators in Gainesville.
