LSU’s Men’s Basketball went on the road two games in a row against Texas A&M and Alabama, where they went 0-2 and came back to the PMAC with a chip on their shoulder.
Although it was a hard loss, the Tigers are not letting that affect their mindset and are working everyday to maintain a positive mindset, to help them both on and off the field. Head Coach Matt McMahon believes, too, that the team has a strong mindset.
“I think our players have the right mindset, we were in the gym earlier this morning, we’ve been to work everyday,” McMahon said.
“They understand where we have to get better, to give ourselves better opportunities to win. But when you are not shooting the ball as well as you would like from three, all I know to do is to get in the gym and shoot more and get your confidence, and find ways to step up and make big shots in games.
“I think the mindset is where it needs to be, now how do we sustain some of these successful runs we’ve been on, but to do it for forty minutes, and that has to be the goal as we move here into february.”
The Tigers must get themselves prepared and leave the past in the past, as they are set to face the No.1 team in the NCAA, Auburn on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
