Looks like LSU Men’s Basketball was in the slaughterhouse after their 31 point lose to the Texas Longhorns. They kept it close in the first half but their second half offense leaves them 1-7 in SEC play.
An early dunk from Dji Bailey made things interesting for a moment, but the Purple and Gold were unable to keep the energy coming against Texas’ Kadin Shedrick who had 10 rebounds and 3 of the teams 8 steals.
With Vyctorious Miller healthy the team was able to stay alive and keep the lead to only 6 points for the Longhorns heading into the locker room.
Lack of physicality and little mistakes on the offensive side of the ball allowed Texas to run up the score after halftime, scoring 58 points in the second half.
Corey Chest led the team with rebounds and Jordan Sears brought in 13 points. But Texas’ Tre Johnson put on a performance with 18 points and 4 rebounds.
Luckily for the Tigers they have a few days off before their next opponent Georgia on the road in Athens.
