Social media sensation and popular TikTok star is the prime suspect for a gruesome murder.
On Tuesday night, 20-year-old Baton Rouge native Terryon Ishmael Thomas, who is known under the online alias ‘Mr. Prada’, was arrested for charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
These charges are in connection to the death of 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham, whose body was discovered on Sunday alongside Highway 51. According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s office, the body was wrapped in a tarp and partially hidden inside a ditch.
According to a biography on his website, Abraham was a licensed professional counselor, motivational speaker, author, and life coach who wanted to help individuals become better versions of themselves.
A local coroner determined the cause of death was a result of blunt force trauma, and Abraham’s death has since been ruled as a homicide by the sheriff’s office.
Investigators believe that Abraham was killed on Saturday, but are currently unaware of where the homicide might have taken place.
Thomas has become a familiar face on TikTok, boasting more than 8.3 million followers across several different accounts and surpassing 560 million likes across all of his videos. Most of his content revolves around relatable skits and funny hypothetical situations.
However, a concerning video, posted by Thomas in May of 2023, has started to resurface after his name was linked to this homicide investigation. The text on Thomas’ video reads:
“Practicing for my mug shot cus this might be the year someone gonna meet God if they [explicit] me off too much.”
On Monday afternoon, a Baton Rouge Police officer located the victim’s stolen black Lincoln MKZ and attempted to pull the vehicle over.
Reportedly, the driver of the stolen vehicle backed up into the police’s marked unit and sped away from the scene. In the process, speeding through a traffic light, crashing the car, and ultimately evading law enforcement.
Eventually, police would arrest Thomas in Dallas, Texas, and took him into custody Tuesday night.
No motive for the homicide has been released. Also, it hasn’t been disclosed whether or not Thomas and the victim had any previous connection with each other.
Notably, in 2015, Abraham was accused of inappropriately groping his 11-year-old client during a counseling session. He would end up being arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Prosecutors decided not to bring the case to trial.
His former attorney, Jarrett Ambeau, who represented Abraham in this case, said that Thomas was not the alleged victim in this particular case.
Thomas will have to attend an extradition hearing before a Texas judge to determine whether he will be transferred to Louisiana to face these charges.
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information is released.
