We college students are always wondering how long a restaurant or new business will stay on campus. It’s heartbreaking when we fall in love with the spot, then all of a sudden it’s gone and we’re left to eat food from the Student Union. We all know that’s not fun.
I think in order for businesses to thrive on campus, they must be willing to fit into the mold. One new business that is doing a phenomenal job of integrating itself into LSU’s campus is coffee trailer Cherrybomb Coffee Co.
If college has done anything for me, it has turned me into a coffee lover. I’m sure it has done the same to you. So, from one coffee lover to another, here are Cherrybomb’s LSU-themed drinks, created to serve up exciting and unconventional flavors.

Mike’s Matcha
I feel like everyone I have talked to lately has been on a matcha kick. I have always thought it was weird and tasted like grass, but Cherrybomb has officially changed my mind. Seriously, the first words that came out of my mouth were ‘mmmmmm’.
Mike’s Matcha is delicious. It comes topped with the ube cold foam and adds just the perfect amount of sweetness. It tastes like your cereal milk left over from eating Fruity Pebbles that morning. The glowing green and electric purple just make this drink exceptional.
Bengal Brew
The bengal brew was essentially a latte topped with ube cold foam. It came out looking beautiful: purple cold foam combined with Cherrybomb’s hand-crafted coffee. It had a sweet aftertaste that kept you wanting more. To be honest, I was a little bit sad when I finished it.
My experience at this new coffee gem on campus was marvelous. If I could use a song to describe how I felt after trying their specialty drinks, it would be “Skippin’” by Mario. I highly recommend streaming “Skippin’” while you grab a drink from Cherrybomb if you want to feel like you could dance all the way through campus.
Cherrybomb Coffee Co. is located at 136 W. Chimes St. and is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends.
