LSU Football players spoke to the media Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Southeastern Matchup in Tiger Stadium. The defensive players went more in depth about the Florida game and what goes on behind the scenes.
Dashawn Spears earned the SEC Defensive Player of the Week and the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for. He had two interceptions, one which he returned for a pick six, in his matchup against Florida and is drawing national attention in the college football world.
He mentioned what it took for the team to get to where they currently are after the offseason. “Believing in one another and being my brother’s keeper,” Spears said.
Running back Ju ‘Juan Johnson spoke as well. Johnson has flipped positions a few times here while being at LSU. Despite the changes though, he states how he is grateful for the different skill sets and knowledge. “Going from the quarter back, then to the runningback position its helping me to understand my role in all of this at LSU”
The players are now looking ahead to their matchup against in-state team Southeastern on Saturday, September 20th at 6:45 p.m.
