From mac and cheese to pumpkin pie, everyone has a favorite or least favorite Thanksgiving dish. Students at LSU sounded off on their thoughts about Thanksgiving classics, weighing in on which dishes deserve a spot at the table and which ones they would rather not see again.

Many students said their favorites come down to tradition and how their family makes the dishes. Some students said Mac and cheese were their favorite while others said Gumbo and other dishes.

But not every classic was a hit. Surprisingly, students said they would skip out on turkey and pumpkin pie.

Whether they’re sticking to tradition or switching things up, LSU students proved one thing: Thanksgiving plates might look different, but the opinions are always strong.

Despite their differences, Thanksgiving is always a time for loving friends and family.
